At what age do you take students?

Please see lesson descriptions for specific age ranges. Students will excel in lessons if they are prepared mentally and physically. Reading is a pre-requisite for piano instruction.

What if my child is sick and has to miss a lesson Or there is bad weather?

Please refer to the Policy tab for our attendance policies. In the case of cancellation due to inclement weather, a notification will be sent out via email or text, as well as on social media pages.

Do I have to stay in the building during my child’s lesson?

For the most part, parents do not have to stay in the building during lessons. However, please be prompt when picking up your student. Since the teachers have back to back lessons, they cannot monitor students after their lesson is over. Parents are not allowed to leave unattended siblings and parents of children with special needs should remain on campus for the entirety of their student’s lesson.

I have never been to Hunter Street. Where do we come in?

All Arts Academy students enter at the Homefront entrance (near the fountain on the right side of the church). There will be a large flag marking the entrance. The Homefront will be open for those parents and siblings that wish to stay, work on homework, or purchase a soda or snack. We also offer free guest wifi.

Will there be a recital at the end of the year?

All students will participate in the Arts Academy Recital Celebration in May of each year.

Can I pay the lesson fee in installments?

 Yes! When signing up for lessons, you can choose the private lesson monthly payment option. This option requires a credit card and will charge slightly more to pay monthly. No cash or checks will be accepted for monthly payment plans.

Is the $25 Registration fee per semester?

Yes, each student pays the $25 registration fee each semester and is included in the payment total for your lesson.
