12 Below (Tween Club)

$225 + $25 registration fee per semester for 15 classes

12 Below is a fun opportunity for tweens to come together once a week to make friends, unleash their inner creativity, play games, and participate in fun activities! Each week we will do a different activity including games, scavenger hunts, art projects, trivia and more! This class will offer tweens in the area a place to come and find community and have fun!

Ages: Tweens 3rd-6th grades

Art

MONDAY MIDDAY CLASSES:

Intermediate/Advanced Painting and Drawing (Monday 10a-11a) This class is for homeschool students ages 12 and up. Maximum class size of 5 students.

Beginning/Intermediate Painting and Drawing (Monday 11a-12p) This class is for homeschool students ages 10 and up. Maximum class size of 6 students.

Intro to Art (Monday 12p-1p) This class is designed for younger homeschool students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Students will explore all kinds of art elements and artists across history using various types of mediums from paint to clay to pastels. (CLASS IS FULL)

TUESDAY CLASSES

Beginning/Intermediate Painting and Drawing (Tuesday 11a-12p) This class is for homeschool students ages 9 and up.

Artistic Journeys (Studying the Masters) (Tuesday 1:30p-2:30p) This class is designed for homeschool students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Students will learn about art history and the artwork of the Masters. Each class will give hands-on painting and drawing practice where students will implement the practices of the artist and their style.

Beginning Painting and Drawing (Tuesday 3:30p-4:30p) This beginning class is for students in 1st through 3rd grades. Maximum class size of 7 students. (CLASS IS FULL)

Intermediate Painting and Drawing (Tuesday 4:30p-5:30p) This intermediate class is for students in 4th through 8th grades. Maximum class size of 6 students. (CLASS IS FULL)

Adult beginning painting (Tuesday 5:30p-6:30p) Maximum class size of 6 students.

THURSDAY CLASSES

Exploring Music

$250 + $25 registration fee per semester for 15 classes

Instructor: Michelle Hyde

This class is geared toward homeschooled students ages 6-9 and will explore music through hands-on learning by drumming, dancing, singing, playing instruments, and more! Have a child who is always humming, tapping, and moving to the beat? Grab a friend and join us as we sing and play together.

Exploring Music for Preschool

$225 + $25 registration fee per semester for 13 classes

Instructor: Kendall Mitchell

Our music program will explore different styles of music and instruments through movement, singing, dancing, and basic musical concepts. An enrichment and deeper appreciation for music will be the goal of this class.

3 year old class: Monday 1:00p.m. - 1:45p.m.

4-5 year old class: Tuesday 1:00p.m. - 1:45p.m.


Group Intro To Voice

$225 + $25 registration fee per semester for 15 classes

Instructor: Mallori Finney

Group Voice is an opportunity for students to learn the basics of solo singing alongside their peers. Learning with other students allows for them to sing in front of and with each other, which helps young singers better hear and understand what they are being taught. In this class students will learn basic singing technique through different pieces that they will all learn together.

Group PIano

$250 + $25 registration fee per semester for 15 classes

Instructor: Natalie Boutwell

Group Piano is a class for elementary students to learn the basics of piano and fundamental music theory. Students must be reading fluently before signing up. The age range is 6-10 years and is a great way to gauge interest in an instrument before investing in private lessons. Maximum class size is 6 students.

Group Violin

$250 + $25 registration fee per semester for 15 classes

Instructor: Micah Zellner

Group violin is offered for all levels of violin students. Participants will have opportunities to learn from, play with, and observe other students. Spring participants will work towards group recital performances that feature multiple instruments.

Tuesday 6:00p.m. - 7:00p.m.


Individual Instrument Lessons

$400 + $25 registration fee per semester for 15 30-minute lessons

Piano Instructors: Sebastian Black, Natalie Boutwell, Michelle Hyde, Lisa Latham, Sarah Remetich, Alicia Rodgers, Harriet Young

Violin Instructors: Josh Meredith, Micah Zellner

Quality individual instruction in piano, violin, guitar and drums is offered by certified instructors. At-home practice is a requirement for individual instrument lessons. Recital participation may be determined by student preparedness. The facts are that if a student practices they will improve. If they do not practice, the opposite will occur. Individual instructors will inform students of their practice policies.

Guitar: Tuesday 3:00p.m. - 8:00p.m. / Thursday 4:00p.m. - 8:00p.m.

Piano: Monday 9:00a.m. - 8:00p.m. / Tuesday 11:00a.m. - 8:00p.m. / Thursday 1:30p.m. - 8:00p.m.

Violin: Tuesday 4:00p.m. - 8:00p.m. / Thursday 2:00p.m. - 8:00p.m.


Individual Voice Lessons

$400 + $25 registration fee per semester for 15 30-minute lessons

Instructors: Sebastian Black, Hayden Finney, Mallori Finney, Sarah Remetich

Individual voice instruction focuses on proper vocal technique (breathing, tone quality, vowel production, etc.) Ideally, students should not receive individual voice lessons until they are in middle school. Group Voice or prior vocal experience (along with teacher audition) is recommended for individual voice instruction. Instructors will allow students to pursue outside interests only after a correct understanding technique is in place.
